The SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider is a muzzle device engineered for .30 caliber and 7.62MM rifles with 5/8×24 muzzle threads. It is compatible with SilencerCo’s ASR (Active Spring Retention) Mounts, and because of this, you get a fast, secure quick-attach and quick-detach interface for nearly all SilencerCo suppressors. As a result, you can transfer your suppressor from one firearm to another with a simple one-hand-on, one-hand-off motion.

In addition, the SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider features a patent-pending resonance suppression design that effectively eliminates the tuning-fork effect common with competing 3-prong flash hiders. Furthermore, once the suppressor is shouldered, the ASR locking ring ensures it will not rotate or work loose under a heavy firing schedule. Moreover, the ASR system is compatible with all ASR Muzzle Devices, making it easy to run one suppressor across multiple hosts. The package also includes a shim set and Rocksett for proper installation.

The ASR (Active Spring Retention) system is SilencerCo’s quick-detach suppressor mounting platform. The ASR flash hider threads onto the host barrel and remains installed as a permanent muzzle device, while compatible SilencerCo suppressors mount directly to the ASR via a cam-and-latch mechanism that locks the suppressor in place with a quarter-turn. The active spring retention ensures the suppressor is positively locked to the flash hider during firing and does not loosen or shift under the repeated impulse of sustained fire. The flash hider also functions as a standalone muzzle device when the suppressor is not attached, reducing visible muzzle flash by dispersing and cooling the propellant gases as they exit the muzzle. This is particularly useful in low-light conditions where unmitigated muzzle flash can temporarily degrade the shooter’s night vision. The 5/8×24 thread pitch is the standard for .30 caliber and larger rifle barrels. Confirm your barrel uses 5/8×24 muzzle threads before ordering. The flash hider must be properly timed and torqued to the barrel using a crush washer before the suppressor is attached.
