The MVG (MOE Vertical Grip) is Magpul’s compact vertical foregrip for the MOE handguard system and any standard Picatinny rail. A QD (quick-detach) sling socket at the base allows a QD sling swivel to attach directly at the foregrip position, providing a forward sling attachment point without a separate sling mount — useful for two-point or single-point sling configurations. The compact profile minimizes rail footprint compared to longer vertical grips, making it well suited to shorter handguards or builds where minimizing bulk is a priority. The MVG attaches to a Picatinny rail via a thumbscrew clamp for tool-free installation and repositioning. It is compatible with any standard Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail and is most commonly used on AR-15 rifles and other firearms with railed handguards. The vertical grip provides a consistent front-hand reference for improved weapon control and reduced fatigue during extended shooting holds.

The MVG installs on any M-LOK compatible handguard rail section using the standard M-LOK mounting hardware included with the grip. M-LOK slots are machined directly into the handguard at set intervals, and the MVG’s mounting tabs engage these slots and are locked in place with the included T-nut and mounting screw — no rail adapter or additional hardware required beyond what is included. The vertical grip provides a forward handstop reference point for the support hand, allowing consistent hand placement during rapid shooting without consciously repositioning. The compact overall length of the MVG keeps the overall length of the support hand position forward without adding significant bulk under the handguard.
