The Magpul Suppressor Cover is the first suppressor cover of its kind able to withstand the extreme temperatures caused by extended strings of semiautomatic and automatic fire. It is constructed from a heat-resistant polymer sleeve overlaid onto a raised stainless steel heat shield, and because of this, the Magpul Suppressor Cover keeps external cover surface temperatures up to 1000°F cooler than the surface of the suppressor itself. As a result, you get meaningful burn protection for both personnel and equipment, even during heavy firing schedules.

In addition, the cover allows cooling airflow across the can, which speeds up the cooling process between strings of fire. Furthermore, it functions as an enhanced thermal insulator and signature reduction device, significantly mitigating mirage distortions to the shooter’s sight picture during sustained fire. Moreover, the steel heat shield mounts directly to the suppressor body with steel clamps for a secure, rattle-free fit. The Medium size is optimized for 1.5″ outer diameter round suppressors with a body length of approximately 5.5″ (not including attachment hardware or interface), such as the Surefire SOCOM556-RC2. When choosing, note that this is the Coyote Tan color variant.
