The HUXWRX Safety Co. Muzzle Brake-QD is designed for maximum recoil reduction when shooting unsuppressed. It features a quick-disconnect interface compatible with HX-QD 762, 762 Ti, and Magnum Ti suppressors. 5/8×24 TPI thread pitch for 7.62mm platforms.
Note: Larger caliber mounts are NOT compatible with smaller caliber suppressors. Smaller caliber mounts ARE compatible with larger caliber suppressors.

HUXWRX Safety Co. muzzle devices serve as the host-side mount for the HUXWRX quick-detach (QD) suppressor system. The muzzle brake variant threads onto the host barrel’s muzzle and provides both recoil reduction and the fixed attachment point for a compatible HUXWRX 7.62mm suppressor to attach and detach rapidly without tools. Unlike a flash hider, a muzzle brake is optimized primarily for recoil and muzzle rise management — ports and baffles in the brake body redirect propellant gas to counteract the upward movement of the muzzle during firing, which can improve follow-up shot speed and shooting comfort during sustained unsuppressed fire. When a suppressor is attached, the brake functions purely as the QD mount adapter. The QD engagement system allows the suppressor to lock on in a single motion and detach just as quickly, enabling rapid transitions between suppressed and unsuppressed use without thread engagement or tools. Thread pitch on 7.62mm brakes varies — 5/8×24 is the standard for most US-market .308 Win / 7.62 NATO threaded barrels, while 1/2×28 appears on some lighter-profile .308 barrels. Confirm your host barrel’s thread pitch before ordering.
