The HD7 by Lucid Optics in Tan is a favorite Red Dot scope by law enforcement and military professionals. The Gen 3 brings some customer requests and improvements to the device. First, more capabilities for the user are opened up by adding a new reticle. Next, capped turrets and the availability of a flash filter device (sold separately). Finally, upgraded buttons that are more durable and a light sensor that is twice as sensitive were added. The HD7 has a long battery life provided by a single AAA battery. Also, This scope can be used in a variety of different lighting situations with 7 brightness levels. The Lucid Gen III Aluminum 6063 Cast frame is rugged enough for any environment. Shockproof up to a .458 SOCOM. Also, the HD7 Gen 3 is waterproof and fog-proof thanks to the nitrogen purged internals. Above all, the sight conveniently mounts to any Picatinny rail.
